Former New York City financial advisor Stephen Gladstone (CRD# 222612) was recently sanctioned by securities regulators investigating his potential participation in undisclosed private securities transactions. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he was most recently registered as a broker with Liberty Associates, having previously affiliated with firms like OBEX Securities and Noble Financial Capital Markets.
According to a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (No. 2022074015901) issued in April 2022, FINRA sent Mr. Gladstone a request on March 10, 2022 to appear and provide on-the-record testimony connected with its investigation into whether he engaged in undisclosed private securities transactions. The AWC Letter states that he appeared for testimony on March 17, 2022, “however, before the testimony was complete, Gladstone informed FINRA staff that that he would refuse to answer any further questions by FINRA staff, and that he had no intention of ever providing further testimony.” FINRA found that his refusal to provide complete testimony constituted violations of FINRA Rules 8210 and 2010. The regulatory consequently barred him from associating with any FINRA member in any capacity.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Stephen Gladstone holds 37 years of securities industry experience. He was most recently a broker with Liberty Associates in New York City from 2017 until 2020. His past registrations include OBEX Securities, Noble Financial Capital Markets, Lighthouse Financial Group, IRC Securities ICAP Corporates, GGET LLC, Garban Corporates, Gerard Klauer Mattison & Company, Weeden & Company, Moseley Hallgarten Estabrook & Weeden, and Weeden & Company. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the Registered Representative Examination, or Series 1; and the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE.
