Edward Rosenblatt: $200K Complaint Against Cetera Advisor

Mission Viejo, California financial advisor Edward Rosenblatt (CRD# 2658712) breached his fiduciary duty, according to a recent investor complaint. Records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Cetera Advisor Networks.

Mr. Rosenblatt’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in June 2023, alleges that as a Cetera Advisor Networks representative, he breached his fiduciary duty, breached contract, and failed in his supervisory duties in connection with mutual fund investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of $200,000.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2017, alleged he made misrepresentations regarding a mutual fund investment while at Cetera Advisor Networks. The complaint reached a settlement of $33,777.58.

A third investor complaint, filed in 2010, alleged that he poorly managed the customer’s accounts and made unauthorized transactions. In 2011 the complaint reached a settlement of $14,999.

A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2004, alleged that he recommended unsuitable mutual fund investments while a representative of Financial Network Investment Corporation. In 2005 the complaint reached a settlement of $150,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Edward Rosenblatt holds 27 years of securities industry experience. Based in Mission Viejo, California, he has been a broker with Cetera Advisor Networks since 1995 and an investment advisor with Cetera Investment Advisers since 1997. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He is licensed in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
