Kelly Hejtmancik: MassMutual Advisor Lands $91K Complaint

Houston financial advisor Kelly Hejtmancik (CRD# 4535262) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in losses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with MML Investors Services, also known as MassMutual.

Mr. Hejtmancik’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in May 2024, alleges that as a representative of MassMutual, he took a personal loan from the client’s investments in order to purchase a condominium, and “as not contacted the complainant since the personal loan took place.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $70,000.

An earlier investor complaint filed in 2014, alleged that he made unauthorized transactions and that the customer’s signature was forged while he was a representative of NYLife Securities. In 2015 the complaint reached a settlement of $91,458.62.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Kelly Hejtmancik holds 19 years of securities industry experience. Based in Houston, Texas, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with MassMutual since 2017 and 2018, respectively. He was previously registered with NYLife Securities in Friendswood, Texas from 2004 until 2017. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in California, Texas, and Virginia. (Information current as of June 22, 2024.)
