Todd Walker: Arapaho Advisor Lands $200K Bond Complaint

Centennial, Colorado financial advisor Todd Walker (CRD# 2503388) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his advice resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Centaurus Financial, doing business as Arapaho Asset Management.

Mr. Walker’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. The most recent, filed in March 2025, alleges that as a representative of Centaurus Financial, he “recommended and misrepresented unsuitable, high-risk illiquid investments” in real estate and corporate bonds. The pending complaint alleges damages of $200,000.

In a statement included in the complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Walker denied the allegations, which he described as “completely” meritless. “The investments about which the customer complained were suitable and were recommended based on the customer’s objectives, goals and financial circumstances and were offered only after his review of all material documentation related to the investment,” he wrote. “The customer confirmed in writing that they not only received the requisite investment documentation/disclosures, but that he fully understood the characteristics and risks of the investments.”

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2004, alleged that as a representative of Leonard & Company, he caused the loss of an annuity’s death benefit when effecting an account transfer. In 2005 the complaint reached a settlement of $9,995.

Arapaho Asset Management’s website includes a profile of Mr. Walker that describes his background and services. “Throughout his vast career as a Financial Professional, he has been on the forefront of financial education, and empowering his clients,” it explains. “Todd has the special ability to hear your concerns and respond with a myriad of applicable solutions.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Todd Walker holds 30 years of securities industry experience. Based in Centennial, Colorado, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Centaurus Financial since 2005 and 2012, respectively, doing business as Arapaho Asset Management. His past registrations include Leonard and Company, First of Michigan Corporation, Locust Street Securities, and Dean Witter Reynolds. His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Futures Managed Funds Examination, or Series 31; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He holds 42 state licenses. (Information current as of April 19, 2025.)
