Former Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania financial advisor Ceondre Colvin (CRD# 7329753) was recently sanctioned by FINRA in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he was previously registered as a broker with NYLife Securities.
A Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (No. 2024082013401) describes FINRA’s disciplinary action against Mr. Colvin. Filed in November 2024, it alleges that he refused to provide documents and information in connection with a FINRA investigation into his conduct. The investigation was initiated after his former member firm disclosed a customer complaint against him, the Letter states. FINRA found that his refusal to provide the requested materials constituted violations of industry rules. As a result, FINRA barred him from associating with any member firm in any capacity.
Mr. Colvin’s BrokerCheck report discloses his termination from NYLife Securities. Filed in May 2024, it states that the firm fired him in connection with allegations that “he made unauthorized withdrawals from two customers’ bank accounts to pay for his personal expenses.”
A second disclosure on Mr. Colvin’s BrokerCheck report concerns an investor complaint against him. Filed in May 2024, it alleged unauthorized deductions from the account of a customer at his member firm, NYLife Securities. In June 2024 the complaint reached a settlement of $8,448.
An earlier investor complaint, filed in March 2024, alleged that the customer was unaware they were invested in the stock market, and that credit union information he supplied was used to withdraw money from his account. In June 2024 the complaint reached a settlement of $95,549.48.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Ceondre Colvin holds one year of securities industry experience. Most recently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was registered as a broker with NYLife Securities from 2022 until 2024. He is not currently licensed as a broker or an investment advisor.
