Joe Muzaurieta

Joe MuzaurietaJoe Muzaurieta was born in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1976. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Rutgers Business School in 2007 and received his Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2015.

After law school, Joe moved to the Miami area and built a strong legal career specializing in investment disputes. For nearly seven years, he practiced at a boutique law firm in Miami, representing investors in disputes involving financial advisors, brokerage firms, and other financial industry matters. His work included litigation and arbitration, where he protected clients’ financial interests and sought justice for instances of financial misconduct.

In January 2025, Joe joined Carlson Law, P.A., where he continues to leverage his deep expertise in finance-related disputes and client advocacy. Joe’s background in finance, combined with his legal experience, provides a unique advantage for clients navigating complex financial issues.

Earlier in his career, Joe also served as a Cypen Fellow with Legal Services of Greater Miami, offering pro bono legal representation in tax-related cases. He represented clients in disputes with the IRS involving audit appeals, tax liens, levy appeals, preparer fraud, identity theft, innocent spouse relief, and alternative collection strategies. Additionally, he worked with a boutique investment firm specializing in real estate development financing across Florida.
