A recent investor complaint against Willmar, Minnesota financial advisor John Patock (CRD# 6039302) alleges that he made an unsuitable investment recommendation. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is currently registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Moloney Securities, doing business as Christianson Financial Advisors.
Mr. Patock’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in January 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Moloney Securities, he recommended an unsuitable corporate bond investment and acted negligently. The pending complaint alleges damages of $150,000.
In a statement included with the pending complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Patock pushed back against it. “I refute the allegations of the claims,” he stated.
Christianson Financial Advisors’ website includes a description of the company’s services. “Our mission is to be client-focused and driven to find solutions through our knowledge, experience, and vision,” it states. “Throughout the years we have forged niches in the agriculture, manufacturing, and renewable fuels industries. According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, John Patock holds 11 years of securities industry experience. Based in Willmar, Minnesota, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Moloney Securities since 2017, doing business as Christianson Financial Advisors. His past registrations include Eagle Strategies (Spicer, Minnesota; 2017), NYLife Securities (Spicer, Minnesota; 2016-2017), and Thrivent Investment Management (Spicer, Minnesota; 2012-2016). His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
