Sun City West, Arizona financial advisor Orion Willis (CRD# 4047415) recently received an investor complaint alleging that he misrepresented an illiquid investment. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Centaurus Financial, doing business as Prime Wealth Advisors.
Mr. Willis’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in January 2025, it alleges that as a representative of Centaurus Financial, he failed to follow instructions and misrepresented an illiquid annuity investment. The pending complaint alleges damages of $70,600.
In a statement included with the complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Willis “vehemently” denied wrongdoing and described the allegations as “completely” meritless. “The investment about which the customer complained was in her best interest,” he wrote further. “Further, the investment was recommended based on the customer’s objectives, goals and financial circumstances and was offered only after her review of all material documentation related to the investment. The customer confirmed in writing that she not only received the requisite investment documentation/disclosures, but that she fully understood the characteristics and risks of the investments.”
Prime Wealth Advisors’ website includes a profile of Mr. Willis that describes his background and services as the firm’s CEO and founder. “Orion has been helping clients with all aspects of financial planning for more than a quarter century,” it explains. “He founded Prime Wealth Advisors in 2004 to offer elite service and unbiased advice from a seasoned team of professionals who specialize in everything from retirement planning to tax, estate and wealth management.”
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Orion Willis holds 25 years of securities industry experience. Based in Sun City West, Arizona, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Centaurus Financial since 2013, doing business as Prime Wealth Advisors. His past registrations include Invest Financial Corporation, Centaurus Financial, and MetLife Securities. His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63.
