Robert De Vita: Ausdal Advisor Lands GWG L-Bond Complaint

Downers Grove, Illinois financial advisor Robert De Vita (CRD# 1865964) recently received an investor complaint alleging that he violated securities laws and industry rules in connection with the sale of GWG L-bonds. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Ausdal Financial Partners.

Mr. De Vita’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in June 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Ausdal Financial Partners, he breached his fiduciary duty, violated Illinois securities law, acted negligently, and violated Regulation Best Interest in connection with the sale of GWG L-bonds. The pending complaint alleges damages of $25,000.

A profile of Mr. De Vita appears on the website of Aperture Wealth Partners, which offers securities and advisory services through Ausdal Financial Partners. “He has spent the last 30 years as a financial advisor and has held several Executive Management positions in the industry,” it states of his experience. “In 2010, Rob joined Ausdal Financial Partners as an Executive Vice President, Principal, due diligence officer and independent financial advisor. As a financial advisor, Rob is financial planning centric. He thouroughly [sic] enjoys the depths of his client relationships and guiding those clients to their life’s goals.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Robert De Vita holds 35 years of securities industry experience. Based in Downers Grove, Illinois, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Ausdal Financial Partners since 2010. His registration history includes AXA Advisors, H&R Block Financial Advisors, Morgan Stanley, First Gateway Securities, Titan/Value Equities Group, Jonathan Alan & Company, and Hibbard Brown & Company. His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Sales Supervisor Examination (Options Module & General Module), or Series 8; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE: the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
