Naples, Florida financial advisor Scott Meador (CRD# 2202512) allegedly recommended unsuitable investments, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with UBS Financial Services.
Mr. Meador’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. The most recent, filed in November 2024, alleges that as a UBS Financial Services representative, he unsuitably allocated the customer’s account in equities and employed an investment strategy that was not in the customer’s best interest. The pending complaint alleges damages of $1 million.
An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2009, alleged that as a Merrill Lynch representative, he recommended unsuitable investments. In 2010 the complaint reached a settlement of $40,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Scott Meador holds 32 years of securities industry experience. Based in Naples, Florida, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with UBS Financial Services since 2008 and 2013, respectively. He was previously registered with Merrill Lynch in White Plains, New York from 1992 until 2008. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Futures Managed Funds Examination, or Series 31; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7.
