A recent investor complaint against DH Hill Securities financial advisory Steven Standley (CRD# 4282051) alleges fraud connected to a GWG L bond investment. Public records filed with a US bankruptcy court in Texas show that at least one current or former client of Mr. Standley is listed as a creditor for an approximately $85,000 investment in GWG Holdings. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records indicate that he is based in Brentwood, Tennessee and does business as Standley Financial Group.
Mr. Standley’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2022, it alleges that as a representative of DH Hill Securities, he recommended an unsuitable investment in GWG L bonds, failed to conduct reasonable due diligence, violated securities laws, breached contract, committed fraud, engaged in negligence, and breached his fiduciary duty. The pending complaint alleges damages of $190,000.

Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with DH Hill Securities and DH Hill Advisors, respectively, since 2007. He does business as Standley Financial Group.
