Lexington, Kentucky financial advisor Taylor Davis (CRD# 6646090) has received multiple investor complaints alleging that he made misrepresentations in connection with the investments he recommended. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former Northwestern Mutual broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with Meridian Wealth Management.
Mr. Davis’s BrokerCheck report discloses several investor complaints. The most recent, filed in August 2024, alleges that as a representative of Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, he misrepresented and omitted material facts regarding a variable life insurance policy. The complaint reached a settlement of $81,000.
A second investor complaint, filed in April 2024, similarly alleged that as a Northwestern Mutual representative, he made misrepresentations in connection with a variable life insurance policy. The pending complaint alleges damages of $43,072.
A third investor complaint, filed in 2022, alleged that he failed to provide the customer “with a satisfactory understanding” of a variable universal life insurance policy. The complaint reached a settlement of $33,179.
A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2021, alleged that he failed to clarify the ramifications of signing a variable universal life insurance policy. The complaint reached a settlement of $25,000.
Meridian Wealth Management’s website includes a profile of Mr. Davis that describes his background and services as a member of the firm’s Ironguide investment team. “Taylor and the IRONGUIDE team specialize in comprehensive financial planning and focus on concentrated stock management, retirement income planning, estate planning, tax planning, risk management, insurance planning, education planning, wealth transfer planning, and small business advisory,” it explains. “When he’s not in front of clients, you can find Taylor appearing as a political commentator on national news networks, podcasts and radio shows.”
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Taylor Davis holds six years of securities industry experience. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, he has been registered as an investment advisor with Meridian Wealth Management since June 2024. He was previously registered with Northwestern Mutual Investment Services in Lexington, Kentucky from 2017 until 2024. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7TO; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
