Timothy Judson: Ex-Royal Alliance Advisor Faces $100K-$500K Complaint

McLean, Virginia financial advisor Timothy Judson (CRD# 709195) allegedly recommended unsuitable investments that resulted in six-figure damages, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Osaic Wealth, having previously been registered with Royal Alliance Associates.

Mr. Judson’s BrokerCheck report discloses three investor complaints. The most recent, filed in July 2023, alleges that as a representative of Royal Alliance Associates, he recommended unsuitable direct investments. The pending complaint alleges damages between $100,000 and $500,000.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2021, alleged that as a Royal Alliance Associates representative, he recommended unsuitable alternative investments. In June 2022 the complaint reached a settlement of $30,000.

A third investor complaint, filed in in 1991, alleged that as a representative of Integrated Resources Equity Corporation, he failed to supervise a representative who sold unsuitable investments. In 1994 the complaint reached a settlement of $200,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Timothy Judson holds 43 years of securities industry experience. Based in McLean, Virginia, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Osaic Wealth since 1989 and 2005, respectively. His past registrations include  Integrated Resources Equity Corporation (1983-1989) and Derand Investment Corporation of America (1980-1983). His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the Municipal Fund Securities Principal Examination, or Series 51; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
