Tom Rapp: Greenberg & Rapp Advisor Faces $1.2mm Complaint

Morristown, New Jersey financial advisor Tom Rapp (CRD# 1792438) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with M Holdings Securities, and that he is a principal at Greenberg and Rapp Financial Group.

Mr. Rapp’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in December 2024, it alleges that as a representative of M Holdings Securities, he “failed to exercise reasonable care and diligence in the sale of a Fixed Universal Life Insurance policy,” and that he failed to disclose the policy’s “characteristics, costs, and pricing.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $1,234,482.59.

Greenberg and Rapp Financial Group’s website includes a profile of Mr. Rapp that describes his background and services as one of the firm’s founding partners. “Over the last three decades, Tom has amassed a broad range of experience in alternative asset management, estate planning, private business consulting, niche insurance products, and private wealth management,” it explains. “Tom conducts private briefings with family offices, brokerage firms, and sophisticated wealth managers and is also a specialist in offshore private placements.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Tom Rapp holds 36 years of securities industry experience. Based in Morristown, New Jersey, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with M Holdings Securities since 2004. His registration history includes 1717 Capital Management (1995-2004) and Pruco Securities Corporation (1988-1995). His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6.
